My methodology is simple. I rate the stores based on how closely they resemble a McDonald’s in the US. The closer they are, the better they score. That means theoretically, a joint might actually taste “better” than a McDonald’s in the US, but score worse than a joint that tastes more similar. But that shouldn’t happen because nothing tastes better than a classic American McDonald’s. I always order a Big Mac meal, and ideally my wife will order some other stuff to fill out the review. I use a 5 point scale. 3 of the points are reserved for the Big Mac. 1 point is for the fries. And the final point is a tilt factor that encompasses everything else, including service, cleanliness, and local menu items.
