Comments: This one had two floors, the ground floor and downstairs. We ate downstairs. There were self-service kiosks, but the two-floor setup made table delivery very unreliable. We waited a long time before just getting our food ourselves because they couldn’t find us. The regional items dominated the menu here. For instance, they sold nasi lemak, which was not as good as if we went to an actual Malaysian restaurant. This is the wrong way to do regional flavors. Instead of integrating the local dish with McD’s ideals, they just sold it straight up. I did like the option to substitute fries for congee, although the congee itself was very bland. As for the Big Mac, this is where things really go wrong. The taste of the pickle was weirdly sour and overpowering. The chicken burger was basically bread around Malaysian food (again, the wrong way to integrate regional cuisine). And similar to the Singapore store, they had chili sauce instead of ketchup. Lastly, the pricing was strange. If you upgrade the meal size, it actually becomes cheaper (see receipt picture).
