Comments: This place was a lifesaver while I was stationed in Okinawa for three years. I love Japanese food, but it was great to have a taste of America within a 10-minute walk of my house. We ate here all the time. If I’m being entirely honest, if I were just judging this place based off the Big Mac like I do with most places, it would probably be a 4/5. The sandwiches are just a little too dry here. But the regional menu, which I normally don’t have time to try at other locations, elevates this spot to a 5/5. They innovate on the menu almost monthly with unique menu items that perfectly blend the McDonald’s ideal with Japanese flavor. Examples include the Samurai Mac, the Spicy Gohan Shrimp Burger, and Cherry Blossom Apple Pies (see drive-through menu pictures for some of these). It was also open 24/7, so you know we made regular use of the late night drive-through. Our experience here was representative of our visits to McD’s throughout Japan, with clean restaurants, fast-moving lines, polite service, and ice-cream machines with >90% up-time.
